For Parents and Community
It’s important to involve parents and the community in the character education of our youth. Parents are the first and most important character educators for their children. Schools should make every effort to communicate with them about any character education initiative on campus. This helps build trust between the school and parents, and it helps parents reinforce at home what students are being taught at school. When the wider community is made aware, they too can become partners in your character-building efforts.
