Although many schools simply narrate the messages from beginning to
end, the Best Practice
for implementation is using the Weekly or Monthly Themes and the corresponding
Weekly Journals. This allows students to reflect on messages they
recently heard, and it provides the entire campus with a common focus.
If using Weekly or Monthly Themes isn't appropriate for your campus,
you can simply choose journal pages at random from the menu below.
Schools use these journals in advisor/advisee, homeroom, and language
arts, as well as during detention and in-school suspension. For
example, when a student is making poor choices, you might ask him
or her to complete the journal page titled "Choices: Choosing
What's Right" and then use it as a springboard for discussion.
